Based on a true story about a young father and reformed gangster raising his son and trying to start a new life within gritty Watts, Los Angeles.
Focussing on the relationship between the father and his son, I used imagery that captures the emotions and hardship they faced. I kept the artwork true to the story letting the audience easily understand the tone of the film.
John Boyega had just come off a major film role in Star Wars The Force Awakens. Having him at the forefront of the artwork helped drive interest and awareness for this rather unknown independent film.
Along with artwork creation I also managed the curation of on set photography for this title.
